Sandals Golf Resorts

Golf at Sandals Resorts

When you say Sandals Resorts, the first word that comes out of your mouth is….golf.  Okay, you might have had other words in mind like luxury, romance, beaches - to name a few.  But if you are a golfer, there are few better places in the world to play for challenging golf and gorgeous settings than Sandals Resorts.

Sandals has four courses to choose from on three islands, all with their own unique challenges and amazing settings.
Bahamas
Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course
Rating 74.1; Slope 140

The crown jewel of Sandals golf resorts, this Greg Norman course was recognized as one of the 5 best in the Bahamas by Golf Digest and the resort was voted The Bahamas Best Golf Resort in 2018 by the World Golf Awards.  If the name sounds familiar, it’s likely because it is the host course for the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned Web.com Tour event.  At 7001 yards, the course is the longest in the Caribbean, with bunkers that will keep even the most seasoned golfers busy.  For those looking for a more relaxing round though, the scenery will not disappoint.  Six of the course’s holes sit on the Emerald Bay peninsula and offer dramatic views of the ocean.

Jamaica
Sandals Golf & Country Club
Rating 70.9; Slope 128

Located in the breathtaking hills of Ocho Rios Jamaica, the club is just a 15-minute transfer away from Sandals Ocho Rios and Sandals Royal Plantation.  The course sits 700 feet above sea level, complimenting your round with breathtaking views of the Jamaican hills and the ocean.  But don’t confuse this course with “vacation golf”.  As Golf Advisor puts it, “The course offers many challenges including narrow fairways and small greens that drop-off abruptly across an undulating landscape. Although there are many beautiful views of both the sea and mountains to distract golfers, this course requires precision.”

St. Lucia
Sandals St. Lucia Golf & Country Club at Cap Estate
Rating 74.3; Slope 138

This course is for those who want to be absorbed by the course’s natural surroundings.  In fact, as Golf Advisor describes it, “the natural contours of the land shape all of the holes, providing uneven lies, elevated greens, and undulating fairways.”  Located within a short transfer from Sandals Halcyon resort and Sandals Grand Lucian Resort and Sandals Regency La Toc, the best is yet to come for this course.  It is being revamped into a brand new championship golf course in partnership with Greg Norman.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Club
For those looking for a 9-hole golf outing, this is the resort for you.  Located within a short transfer from Sandals Halcyon resort and Sandals Grand Lucian Resort, this 3,300-yard course requires a good amount of precision and skill.  The course’s scenery offers something for everyone – lush valley views along with cedar and almond tree jungles.  The best of all though is the par 3 8th hole, where you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the sea.
